Many Ways to Be Human: Winter

Five online Socratic seminars over the New Year break, with students from around the world. For each session, the group reads a short but deep text, usually under 15 pages, and talks it through for 90 minutes. Students start the conversation with their own questions and run it themselves, with a seminar leader guiding rather than lecturing.

At the end of the course, each student creates a Svet Project in their own community. It can grow out of a line from a story, a moment in the discussion, or a question they are left with. Every student also receives a personalized certificate with a private note from their seminar leader on what they do well and what they can work on.

The course runs every other day from 26 December to 3 January, so there is still plenty of time to rest and be with friends and family. No prior experience with seminars is needed.
