Support our work.

Your gift pays the people who teach and run our courses, and the materials students read. It also keeps our sliding scale sustainable, so a family’s ability to pay never decides whether their teenager gets a seat.

Your gift is doubled

An anonymous donor is matching Year Two gifts one for one, up to $20,000. Every dollar you give today becomes two.

How the model works.

Families pay what they can, on a sliding scale. We want those fees to grow, so that we rely less on gifts over time. They will never cover everything, because we keep every course open to any student, whatever their family can pay.

What 215 applicants to our June and August 2026 courses could pay
  • 50%could pay nothing
  • 34%could pay something, less than the standard rate
  • 16%could pay the standard rate or more

Fees and gifts go into the same budget. Gifts pay for the seats of students who cannot pay.

Where the money comes from.

More than twenty private donors made our first year possible. Grants and course fees add a smaller part.

suchris
  • Private donors

More than twenty people gave in our first year. Some gave once, and some give every month.

  • Grants

$10,000 from Projects for Peace in 2024, which funded our first courses. Other foundations have supported our work too, some of which prefer not to be listed.

  • Course fees

Families pay what they can, on a sliding scale. We expect fees to become a larger part of our income as we run more courses.
